Cleaning Day - Quick Post

I feel like I need to end this day with a quick blog about the day we had...pictures and videos will definitely make it at a later date!

Today we rented a house in St. Cloud, Florida. It's perfect for us, but it's quirky. I suppose those two are actually related to each other, huh? We had a bunch of help cleaning it out today and trying to get everything ready for our move in on Monday/Tuesday. See, we don't have electricity or running water yet. This makes for an interesting day in itself, but since we had energetic people helping us, it was great.

Ruth tackled the kitchen...and I'm pretty sure that she won the battle with it. We all kind of stayed out of her way because she was in the zone for the ENTIRE day of cleaning. Yes, it's that dirty...well, dirty isn't really the word for it...ummmm, how about "in need of some love"? The kitchen looks incredible, at least in the dark.

The trio of Erica, Nick, and Jennifer tackled several rooms together and had quite the system going with their cleaning. The laughing and singing coming from around the house made me think that they were having a good time with the company, at least. One of my favorite parts of the day was when Erica asked me "ummm...is it okay if we take Eliana OUT of the stroller to play with her?" Yes, Erica. Sounds much better than scrubbing tile, too!

Mark was the sacrificial lawn-mower in the ridiculous heat and humidity of this lovely state, and I think that he went through a weeks worth of wardrobe in one afternoon due to it...my dad probably would have had him beat, considering he sweats in the air conditioning, but Mark was a hero in the yard.

Deb did a little of everything...considering her hosting abilities and "go-with-the-flowbility", she can probably boast of doing the largest variety of work throughout the day. We have the best neighbors EVER.

Carl and Suely (Sarah's parents) are amazing. Between Mr. Fixit and Mrs. Grand-Ma, we couldn't have done it without them. It's going to be REALLY hard to let them leave next week.

Sarah and I are pretty tired, but at the end of the day, we are so incredibly blessed and thankful for the way that God has been working in the past few days. Give it a week or two, and we'll be up and running for Orlando visitors to crash at our pad! The humidity is killer, but the lizards are AWESOME.

More later,
Trevor
