Life has been full here at the Schuh household...as can be noted by the amount of time that has elapsed between this post and our last. ;) This phase of life has proven to be a good one, yet hard at times. Trevor is in his 4th session at the Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics, now taking the first of his many music-related courses (the first few sessions were all having to do with language and sociolinguistics). He is truly in his element, having an assignment to work on his djembe skills as we speak. He was happy to turn in his transcription of a Punjabi song this morning after staying up until 1:30am last night working on it!
Sleep has been scarce in our home, as Laís has decided that it is grossly overrated. She is becoming the ham of the house, convincing us to giggle at her exaggerated head shake--now very clearly meaning "NO"--and making our hearts melt when she smiles and waves. What a joy it is to watch her learning and growing. Especially in light of the uncertainties during the first few months of her life, we thank and praise our Father for the tremendous blessing we have in Laís. Her lack of sleep, however, has admittedly thrown my (and consequently,
our) world upside down. You can be praying for our family in this matter if you are so inclined. Ask the Lord for sweet rest and peace in Laís's body, so she (and Trevor and I) can begin to get some sleep. It is truly amazing how our bodies cannot function without sleep!
A few pictures to get you up to speed with what's new in our house these days.

| As of March 10th, we have a 5 year old!!! The sign behind her says "Only 5 year olds can sit here". It was her special birthday morning chair as she sunk her teeth into her ever-so-healthy carrot cupcake at 7:30am. |
| See any resemblance? :) I love her. |
| My parents, Carl and Suely, came to help us celebrate Acácia's birthday in early March. What a blessing! |
| Grandpa is helping Acácia, fully decked out in her knee-pads and elbow-pads, learn how to roller skate. |
| Braids for crimpy hair in the morning. I LOVED doing this as a little girl. |
| Laís is a big girl now...sitting up nice and pretty! |
| Texas Bluebonnets were in full bloom here for about a month. It was normal to see cars pulled over on the side of the road and people out in the flower fields snapping pictures. We decided to succumb to peer pressure. |
| The girls love ballet and tiaras and tutus. |
| Trevor's parents, Bob and Gail, were able to come celebrate Easter with us. We had a lovely time with them celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord. He Is Risen! |
| The girls had an awesome time hunting for the 12 "Resurrection Eggs" which each held a piece of the story of the Resurrection inside. What a creative way to walk through the unfolding of the events leading up to Easter Sunday...thanks Grandma and Buppa! |
| We have a bush outside of our house which apparently attracts hundreds of butterflies during this time of year, only at certain times of the day when it is flowering. Gail spotted the butterflies swarming around the bush one day when we were pulling in. If you zoom in on the photo, you can see them! |

| Easter morning family picture! |
Until next time~

Great blog post! Your girls are so beautiful. And I loved doing the braid-before-bed when I was little, too. :)
So great to see your smiling faces! Miss you Schuhs!!!
Everyone looks so wonderful...especially for lack of sleep, Mrs. Schuh-- you are just too pretty!! :)
Praying for you all often and excited to see all God is doing in your lives. Sending lots of love and missing our times together.
